Bart IPA
1 of 2
SEPARATED AT BIRTH
375mL - 6.5% ABV
Bart is the actual evil twin of Hugo.
Bart and Hugo are two IPAs that were brewed as one, fermented in the same tank, then separated at birth (ie: just before canning) where they developed their own personalities.
Bart is paler, crisper and has more tropical aromas thanks to generous dry hops with Citra (both pellets and liquid dry hop Spectrum) and New Zealand speciality hop Nectaron.
The idea was borne from experimenting with modern brewing products such as hop terpenes (aroma), hop extracts (flavour), iso-acid isolates (bittering), and dark malt extracts such as Weyermann Sinamar (colouring)…can we make two distinct beers that were brewed and fermented together? If not, one of these beers will locked away in the attic and fed a bucket of fish heads once a week…
ABV: 6.5% - IBU 25 - FG -1.009
MALT: Traditional Ale, Vienna, Premium English Caramalt
HOPS: Cascade, Citra, Nectaron
FERMENT: US-05 around 19degC
